Herodian Oil Lamp - Very Good Condition - Height 3cm - Herodian Oil Lamp c 50 BC-50AD Called the Herodian because of its widespread use during the reign of Herod the Great in Israel (37-4BC). This lamp was made on a wheel with the spout added by hand. It remained in use up to about 150AD in some parts of Israel, but is thought to have gone out of general use by 70AD. Made found in Hebron
